Getting ready for #Supernatural #NJcon!

For those of you who did not see my Facebook & Twitter posts last month, I’ve signed on to be a vendor at the Supernatural Convention in Whippany, NJ this year (Sept 5-7) hosted by Creation Entertainment! I’ve been busting my butt the past few weeks making some fun Supernatural themed pins and magnets just for this event. I have also had the extremely hard task of re-watching episodes to get ideas. (I know, such a tough job!) I have about one month left to get everything finished, but am pretty much ahead of schedule. On top of those pins, I will also be bringing a selection of my other pins as seen in my ETSY SHOP. So there will be lots to choose from. I’m very excited about this event because not only am I huge fan of the show, but this will be my first really big event. If all goes well, I may have to pack my schedule next year! (Steampunk World’s Fair, here I come! LOL ūüėČ )

So Supernatural Fans!! What kind of Supernatural Fan-Made pins would you like to see?

Are you ready for St. Patrick’s Day?

Before you know it, St. Patrick’s Day will be here! While it might not be one of the most celebrated holidays, I find it to be one of the most fun! Not just because of the food and drink (even though that’s certainly a plus), but it’s festive and colorful! Make sure to have the perfect accessories for the big day!

Check out my Etsy store for lots more St. Patrick’s Day Pins and Accessories!

I’ve been working on some new faces. I get started and I just¬†can’t stop.

This first one is the Goddess of Serenity with a golden and white headdress and Swarovski elements for eyes.

This second one is a Steampunk Pilot profile with a Swarovski element eye, handcrafted and painted.

The third one is a art nouveau style with a kaleidoscope background and flowing hair, also handcrafted and painted with Swarovski element for her eye.

The fourth one is a pirate wench with a large brimmed hat with a feather and Swarovski elements for her eyes.

Steampunkery – The Polymer Clay and Mixed Media Craft Book

My daughter gave me this book for Christmas last year. I love the step by step instructions with pictures for polymer clay and mixed media projects. This book is fun and informative. It is made with sturdy glossy card stock paper, which is nice but makes it hard to keep the book open to the page as you’re following the directions.¬†The pictures are colorful and detailed. There are great projects and ideas¬†for different degrees of abilities for any crafters. The author Christi Friesen is imaginative, creative, talented and funny. There are quirky footnotes and amusing stories throughout the instructions. This book is a lot of fun.

The only problem with the book is that it is coming apart because the card stock pages are not able to bend easy at the binding. The other books by this author (This is the 8th) are made with regular gloss paper and hold together much better and also have beautiful illustrations.

But I give it 4 1/2¬†suns out of 5.¬†¬† ‚ėľ‚ėľ‚ėľ‚ėľ1/2
